RUNDLL window "Error loading w411afb4.dll The specified module could not be found"Ĭproc.exe window "the dynamil link library mscoree.dll could not be found in the specified path C:\WINNT\system32\crunner C:\WINNT\system32 C:\WINNT\system C:\WINNT C:\WINNT\system32 C:\WINNT C"\WINNT\System32\Wbem C:\Program Files\Quicktime\QTSystem\." I'm also seeing the following errors at startup. The browser is trying to point to httt:///septpop06ap.php?src=mm&rand=0.9597393 I think the computer had several viruses on board when it came home.Īt this point I've got the network connection disabled to keep the popups from reaching the internet, but I've still got IE and Mozilla windows popping up without my control occasionally. I did quarantine or destroy over 400 items that these various programs didn't like, so I think I've made progress. It appears that I still have some trace of the various Trojan Horses etc. These programs either proclaim that all issues are fixed or that they were unable to remove the last lingering issues and a restart is required. I've spent a day loading & running Ewido, AdAware, AVG Free, & Spybot. She immediately started closing programs and ultimately had to shut down the computer. She noted XNHKUI.EXE and something called "Project1", but it all happened so fast that's all she wrote down. When she opened the task manager it listed many many applications running. Yesterday she was surfing in IE and was overcome with popups. I did load Firefox and suggest that she use it because of IE's vulnerability, but she sometimes uses IE because certain sites perform better. The desktop came home with AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy already on it, so I didn't load any virus protection. I put details about my systems in my profile, but let me know if you need more on that. I slapped together a network including this desktop, my lapotop, network hard drive, router & cable modem. That's good news since we hadn't had desktop before that. My wife's company was recently upgrading computers and they gave her the old one. First, sorry for the length of this post, but hopefully this will give us a good starting point.
